...it's only a flesh wound but I'm still chapped.
I was just about to blog about how well she has been treating us, I still will I guess
A couple weeks ago Mrs. Roara is sitting at a red light, second in line. The guy in front all of a sudden goes forward a little then grabs reverse and BAM! backs right in to her. Didn't even see the low profile sleek "blue bomber". Luckily the bags didn't go off. Behind the hole in the fascia there is also a small hole in the aluminum bumper. No drivability issues, alignment or anything I've noticed, she still hauls ace!
They had both just come from the gas station and his fuel gage hadn't changed so he was going back to make sure he was gassed up. (in Oregon they don't think we're capable of pumping our own gas so yeah, that's why he was perplexed)
They swapped info and we were paid $1875.00 for a new hood, front fascia and paint/blending. Any hidden damage will then be addressed as it it's found. Haven't taken it in yet but will soon.
Actually the new hood/paint will eliminate my "bra staining" that I acquired last year. Almost new bra bought from "pureinsanity" was worn in the elements. No big deal, after being soaked then baked by the sun, there is a fogging effect at the front of the hood. Almost like you can see the base coat showing thru. (can't find a pic right now)
Not sure how common this is but the Geico office we went to shares the building with a local 33 yr old body shop. This certainly expedites any additional work needed.
Thoughts, prayers and cash donations can be sent to:
