So I snapped a sway bar link and figured this is an opportunity to upgrade some stuff. I was thinking to do the STS bar swap. Is the stock 29mm front bar in my 98" solid or hollow? Is the 30mm STS bar solid or hollow? If my stock bar is solid, I won't swap then lol. Thanks!

1mm is negligible. Just upgrade to poly bushings and endlinks.
As for the solid vs hollow. I am not sure. I know the addco aftermarket is solid. STS rear 22 is hollow so I doubt the front is solid but not sure.

From what I understand, the STS bar is 30mm and hollow. The GXP bar is 30mm, and solid. Personnally, I've broken 2 hollow bars. I prefer the solid bar even though it's heavier. From the way it was explained to me, only a thin outer portion of the bar has any real effect on the resistance to the twisting motion that prevents sway. By using a larger diameter hollow tube. you can get the same effect as a smaller solid tube but save a lot of weight. This being said, the GXP 30mm solid bar is the best bar you'll find. The 30mm hollow tube from the STS will still perform well, but not as well as the GXP bar. I'm probably going to use the STS bar since it's cheaper and the ride height of my car will limit the performance I can actually use anyway. I'm thinking the lower weight is a bigger benefit in my situation. I'll try not to break this one
