I'm reading a lot about strut tower bracing but nothing about sub-frame connectors. Seems to me it makes more good sense to strengthen the sub frames together than just hooking the strut towers. The sub frames strengthen everything......not just tying the tops of the struts together and strengthening left to right.

I think you are not alone in seeing the engine cradle mounts go bad. I have replace all the rubbers and welded in extra plating and sockets on the cradle and body mounts. It did restore the origional feel and stoped the movement and "thunk" I was getting on stops and corners. I do not think the sub frame itself was flexing much just the connections to the body. I must admit that I was very skeptical about the strut brace, but after putting one on my 95 Aurora I am now convinced and will make one for my other cars.
