Title says it all, noticed it about a month ago. Its the mirror its self that is shaking and not the frame around it. I can adjust the mirror without a problem but it shakes when traveling faster than about 45 mph or while playing loud music. Its not shaking violently, but its a little concerning because the rear view mirror in the interior kind of shook a bit and popped off awhile ago lol also where i live is being pounded by quarter sized hail, don't worry i got my car in the garage

I wouldn't say the car was abused, its a small problem that I can live with for now. I would love to get it checked out by a body shop, get the few small dents I have fixed and the crease in one of my doors fixed. The reality is I need to be saving up for college, Im not saying I'm letting my car fall in disrepair but im doing what I can to maintain how it is now. Im going to my front realigned whenever I get my next check from working with my dad.
I love the car and one day I will completely fix it up, just need the money first. The exterior of my car is in pretty good shape given what the weather is like here and the environment (the roads are terrible!) The interior is near perfect though i do need to clean it.
BTW Im 17, I've payed for the car entirely by myself, the money comes from my job at the local grocery store (pay as you expect is minimal $7.25) The only way I would get payed more is working at a hog site off some gravel road 15-30 minutes away and I might as well trade her in for a truck.

The mirror is glued to a backing plate. That plate then attaches to the adjuster motor. That entire assembly is then secured to the housing. Pop the glass out and take a look, only a couple of things that could be loose.

I have this same problem on my '98 since about 58k miles. I didn't try to pull the glass off for fear of cracking it, but I might as well replace the entire door since the only 4 problems with this car all exist on the driver door. Problems include this mirror, window out of alignment, rust/dent along the bottom and the auto down module doesn't work. Needless to say I think there was an incident from the previous owner.
