An Excellent Polish, Part 2

In September of last year, I polished the silver wheels on my 2001 with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze 7.
See this thread about that. Now, almost 8 months later, the wheels are almost as bright & shiny as when I polished them......a pic of the left rear is below. The only thing I did was to clean them with a wet paper towel occasionally. My question: What is in Mirror Glaze 7
that gives such a bright shine?
