The 95 has a PROM chip, unlike 96 on. Theoretically you just need to get a new PROM programmed and swap the chip. Surely *someone* out there has the tools and skills to accomplish this. Keep us posted!

Yeah. Westers is the only place doing N* anymore AFAIK. Ion at madtuner is no longer doing Aurora tunes!! I don;t think he did 95 anyway but just putting that out there.

Is all the data '00' as shown? I would suggest that something is amiss. For the most part it should contain data. ...gene

Right. Seems a bit weird. Anyways, let me know when you get to the '96-'99 PCMs haha.

Haha, a nibble is half of a byte, 4 bits, a single hexadecimal digit.

theres a whole bunch of information actually. the file is just too big to get all on the screen at the same time. even on my 17.3" laptop. Note the size of 65,536 (which is 64K Bytes). This is a good number as most of the PROMS back in that period were 64K. Now all you need to do is decipher it. Reading and writing should conform to standards, but back in 95 - those standards were voluntary. I have no idea which GM decided to support. ...gene

In the 80s this would be a bad situation. But the 90s (and even more so today) the systems were much more tolerant. But to clarify, you did not have a short, you had a open connection where solder failed to make the appropriate connection. If that is true you are probably OK. If on the other hand, you had short, that may have caused damage. ...gene

I agree. Keep up the good work. I wish I could tune on the fly from my CarPC! I don't think that will ever be doable though!
