I'm looking at getting a new set of tires for my stock 17 wheels, and was wondering if anyone has changed from their stock size (235/55/17) to a slightly wider 255/50/17?

No, but seriously contemplating it! Would be nice to run same width as my 20's.
What tire are you looking at? I love the Continental DWS I have already. Little bit more expensive but great treadwear ratings and quiet!

I just sold my set. I was running them until I moved up to 18's.
No problems with fitment.

I was looking at some. here they are pictured. The tread design look good, and they're decently priced online, listed from cheaper to higher price. I haven't however checked prices at my local Les Schwab & Big O yet. Hankook VENTUS ST RH06 Kumho Tire Ecsta ASX(Ultra High Performance All-Season)

Has anyone changed their tires to this size and if so, any problems?
