Ok guys just a quick question. My brother has an 04 Chrysler Concorde with the 3.5L V6. Every once in awhile it won't start back up. This is when it is warm (the engine temp). Like say he just got home and half hour later goes out again. She cranks and cranks but wont start up. I was thinking FPR. Does that sound right?

My friends Dodge Ram was doing that. I didn't work on it. But I know what was done to fix it. Check out your throttle body. Make sure it is clean, check your intake plastic hose, check your idle air control valve and make sure that's clean. Use throttle body cleaner (available at any auto parts store). Oh, and clean your MAF sensor. Make sure you use MAF cleaner (available at any auto parts store). That made a noticeable difference on my car. All those could be good. But, not a bad place to start. Keep us posted

I was thinking FPR. Does that sound right? That would be my first guess. However, my next door neighbor had a '04 300M (same engine; same problem) that turned out to be a bad engine coolant temp sensor. Computer "thinks" it's cold and adds fuel. Hot and rich may sound like a good thing, but not real good for combustion. lol!

I'll run my scanner on it and see if it has a code for it (as in a pending code) next time it does it, but I may just replace it for the heck of it if its easy to do (they're usually dirt cheap anyways). I'll look into the throttle body as well. Everything under the hood looked good to me visually.
