First of all - no hate please! I won't do it if the response isn't positive - it's just an idea. I do a lot of driving at night on back country roads and the stock lamps aren't really doing as well as I'd like them to (I did install SilverStar Ultras), especially when driving at higher speeds. I've been toying with the idea of mounting some Hella 500s to the front (likely mounted on top or underneath the license plate bracket, or on a custom bar protruding from the radiator intake location) but I'm not sure if it'll look nice or just plain silly. While they do look nice on the car's I've seen them on, I just can't picture them on the Aurora mostly because nobody's ever done it before and because of the way the bumper's designed. What do you think? Ugly? Cool? Maybe worth a try? Thanks!

Might be worth a look... Since the Aurora doesn't have a grille it might look a little goofy but you might be able to make it work. There's no reason why you shouldn't try it out! If you were able to tuck them up under the front of the bumper a little bit (near the air intake) I think it might actually look good. There is something to be said for upgrades that are also functional... They wouldn't be like the people who out stick-on fender vents and hood scoops, you know? Haha.
I'll throw a photoshop picture together tomorrow to see what it looks like.

To give you some idea what it would look like, I found a pic of Hellas on a WRX.....the only pic of a sedan on the net that I was able to find with Hellas. WRX with Hellas

xjsman89 - I appreciate the support! The Aurora really is a great design and I don't want to mess with it too much. I figure the lights, if the installation is executed right, can't make it look any worse.
I feel like mounting to the license plate bracket is going to be too flimsy, so I've decided they're going to be mounted on a custom bar somewhere in front of the air intake, separated a bit on either side and below the license plate. I took a look and there appears to be a bolt on each end of the condenser support at the front visible from the intake so I could mount a small bar from there like most of the installations I found on Google.
Marc - the bar would be something like the lower one in that photo but it wouldn't protrude so much, it would essentially be two straight, short pieces leading from either end of within the air intake, then a longer bar joining the two together just outside the car. Painted gloss black w/ clear coat.
It's hard to explain what I'm thinking of doing without pictures but I'll try to draw a mockup (that is if I don't end up putting it together before I get to that, haha)
I wanted the Black Magics but I'd have to wait 1-2 months or pay $50 more, so I'm going to get the 500FFs which are supposedly brighter anyway. I just placed the order so in the meantime I'll be working on the mounting design.

Any upgrades which fit in our fog lamp area? Stick some headlights in there maybe. 93 Camaro's had some tiny headlights. Would their hi-beam fit or come close?

Those LED bars that sall listed are really bright and come in alot of different sizes. I think the hellas would look a little wierd on a Aurora tho.
