I have been thinking lately real hard and it seems to me that I still want to get another Aurora. I have been searching and have found a few in NC area thats in my pricing range and I have seen a couple 4.0 Auroras. My question is are there any real big issues I should be prepared for or is it about the same as the 3.5 which was the one I use to have before it was burned up?

All older vehicles are going to have problems, lol! If you can get a decent 4.0 at a decent price, I highly recommend it over the 3.5.

^agree and if its 2002-2003 would be better since they build with stainless steel unlike 2001.

They are showing a first design/second design. Maybe you happened to see one that was first design?
Based on the vin, mine's a second design as were most of the '01+up Aurora's. (first design was relatively low in production numbers compared to the total).

maybe cuz my Aurora and my wifes was sold in June or so of 2000 and my friends who had 2001 3.5 had same issue with rust. But if you live at state that car don't really rust than that doesn't matter. In NY NJ after all the salt that big difference if u have SS or not So i guess we got lucky like that with no rust free metal.

Well I have found another V6 that only has 68k miles on it and the guy only want $1700 for it interior is still in good condition. The only thing it needs is some freon thats all. I have found 1 V8 the man only wants $1500 for it but the interior looks pretty bad though like the roof have brown stains on the seem of the linen and at the front of it look like somebody pulled the fabricate off. Right now Im leaning towards the V6 because it dont have bad interior I would much rather not spend extra money on redoing the interior if possible.

Stained headliner sounds like water issues. I'd wait for a 4.0L but if the price is right for you then go with it! If I could find a $1500 second gen in good shape with low mileage and good interior I'd buy it barring any other issues.

Ok well on craigs list I have found a few but I just hate how most wont tell you if its a V6 or V8 but I think I might wait on the V8 unless I found another one for a good price. And thanks for the advice/suggestions I really appreciate it seriously.

Hey Tim1993, Are you interested in a 2003 Final 500 Aurora? It's a V8, located in Charlotte, in my garage. It's not going to be cheap though, but it isn't going to catch on fire either.

Too late I already got me a 1999 Aurora for $1500 and it only needed an oil change.
