So looks like my Aurora is "close" to the power of a 05'- 12' Seville STS Northstar V8....
I'm driving down the road in the left lane on a 3 way highway and see a gorgeous white Seville STS all the way in the right hand lane. As I slow down for a light I see the Seville pulls right next to me in the middle lane. I have a feeling it's "on" ahead of time, b.c I was speeding around a little bit before and must have caught his attention (this was what I was thinking, b.c he deliberately moved next to me at the light lol). So The light turns green and I step on it, but not entirely, I had a hood length on him then I hear his engine engage fully, so in return I floor it. ( this all probably took place within 20mph). I'd say by 60mph he was ahead by a half of car length and by I'd say by 80mph it was a real slow progression to a full car length and then we both shut down, b.c the road was curving up ahead. The guy was probably mid 40's and had his sun glasses on. You can tell he felt like "the man" in his caddy. And rightfully so! LOL.
I was so pissed, but as much as I kinda expected that to happen, I still had hope, b.c I felt ever since the corsa exhaust, tuning and the other little things I did to her, it felt like a different animal. Either way, that has to be good, b.c I believe this caddy has a 320hp/315tq engine. I must be at the same speed as a old Seville STS then.
I tell ya what though....this definitely makes me think twice about just rebuilding the 4.0 engine and putting cams in it. I think I will go the 4.6 swap route with tuning when the time comes and if I have the cash! HANDS DOWN!
