Anyone know if there are good inexpensive slotted and drilled rotors for the 2G? I looked on the net and saw "cquence" rotors that are, and $53 each rotor. Anyone know if they are a good brand? Any recommendations?

I've had generic eBay slotted (think they were warped), EBC USR slotted (super noisy), and now I have powerstop front and rear.
I just want to note that I don't think my car liked slotted/drilled front rotors with stock single piston caliper. After I upgraded to 2006+ Impala calipers everything was awesome. So now I have dual piston Impala powerstop front calipers paired with drilled/slotted powerstop rotors and stock calipers in the rear with powerstop drilled/slotted rotors. All is well and stops on a dime. Definitely an upgrade!

You can buy Powerstop rotors on RockAuto for $35/ea rear AR8245XPR and $40/ea front AR8255XPR.

Hey Andrew, so what was needed exactly for that conversion? I'm thinking just get junkyard 06+ impala calipers front and rear? then the powerstop rotors, and some pads. That's it? Nothing else?

To covert the fronts to 06+ Impala you need caliper, caliper bracket, brake pads, and rotors. I bought my calipers powder coated red already so I didn't have to paint them myself. Here is what I have but sourced the parts out separately so it was $75 cheaper. www.thebrakeguys.com/store/1-click-performance-brake-kit-w/calipers-p-21939.htmlThink I got the calipers from Amazon (no core charge), rotors from Amazon and pads (not the same as the link) from local auto parts store because I had 30% off. Edit: I don't think the Impala rears are bolt on for the 2G. There is a thread somewhere about the conversions that are pretty much bolt-on. I think it was started by member Randy!?!?

I was going to go the route of impala front calipers and a pair of slotted rotors, but then decided to cross over to the GXP calipers and rotors instead. So if you're interested, I have a great set of impala calipers and brackets cleaned up and re-painted high temp "aluminum" color. And these are from Idaho where we don't salt the roads!! You'd only have to buy those slotted rotors online to make it complete!

Late '96 (with aluminum lower control arms) to '03 Auroras have the same brakes, only change is the front backing plate in late '97.
