Has anyone gotten the Northstar Performance engine mount that they custom make? It looks like a great piece. On their website it doesn't reference the Aurora as a supported vehicle; however, I emailed them and they advised the 01'-03' Aurora 4.0 is a supported vehicle, but they just forgot to add that on their site. ( I stated I have a 01' Aurora 4.0, so I didn't ask about the 1st Gen, nor the V6 options). I actually need a new mount, as my stock one is cracked. The one Northstar Performance makes, according to the picture, looks solid with the steel and hard rubber. I think the OEM one is filled with oil, is that right? So the one Northstar Performance makes def. doesn't look like it is, so it's solid. It shows $189 for it shipped. I already purchased the factory one a few months back, intending to install it when I get a good amount of days off. I paid about $100. I have a friend that works in parts at the Buick dealership I purchase all my parts from, so I can easily return it. I think I will get the Northstar Performance one for $89 more....I'd never need a new one IMO....

Personally, I think that is a waste of $200. That's like $10 worth of materials in that mount.
Fill your hydraulic mount with polyurethane? I'm not sure how stiff you would want that mount anyways.

Well...i'm thinking it like my Regal GS with the poly mounts. The stiffness was great and it put the torque to the ground better. Less engine shake etc... As far as filling the factory mount. There was a time when I thought of doing this, but on other forums I came across after doing a generic google search, whether it was the BMW guys, Hondas, Dodge Neons etc... They claimed to have done that with Polyurethane from the squeeze tube and it cracked out 4 months later. I guess there is a difference between doing it that way and having a block of polyurethane cured correctly from a company that molds them out of a template etc... But yea I think I will just stick with my factory one I have, since I already have it.
