I discovered that the tilt wheel is jammed on my '95. The release lever will move but the steering column won't. It kind of feels like whatever the release lever is supposed to be connected to isn't connected anymore. Does that make any sense? Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Okay, that was strange I went out and tried it a little while ago and it worked just fine. I'm not sure what was hanging up on it before, but I'm glad it decided to start working again. Ah, the joys of an older car...

How did you fix the tilt wheel? The tilt wheel in my 98 is broken too.

Haha, that's funny as I've noticed mine isn't working either now - not really sure why, because it was working just fine before. But it must've changed during disassembly/assembly of the column, as I've had the loose wheel issue. There's a nice writeup on how to take it all apart right here - you're gonna need that slim extension as these torx bolts really are deep, it'd allow you to get to see the tilt mechanism though. I'll have to do it on mine too eventually haha
