Hello everyone, new to posting but been reading the board for awhile. If this has been addressed before, sorry. But I tried looking and didn't find anything like this. I am driving and come up to a red light or a stop sign and stop. While sitting there, sometimes Something will "pop" towards the rear like a small explosion. There isn't a loud noise to it but it is rough enough that it feels like someone rear-ended me. There are times that it will also do it after I have turned the car off. What is going on? Thanks for any input to this.

Something in the air ride? Compressor exhausting?

My 1st gen would do exactly this. It was the air shocks. Replaced them and it fixed the problem.
I don't really know the construction of the shocks but all the grease leaked out of mine. Making them not travel smoothly. This made them stick, and at stop lights the shocks would pop and rise a little. Look at your air shocks and see if they are covered in grease/fluid. Post a picture if you want.
If this isn't your problem try getting it on video.
HTH!
