Hey guys,
So i'm looking into buying a 2003 V8 aurora and noticed that the driver's seat doesn't move forward or backward. All other functions work on the seat (back tilt, lumbar lower and upper support, etc). just wondering a rough estimate of how much it would cost to fix that, given its a module or something on the upper spectrum of expensive parts).

Could be a module, could be broken wires, could be a bad motor... Could cost anywhere from free (repair your own broken wires) to hundreds if you take it to a shop. Too many possibilities to know for sure.

Sounds like a bad motor to me. Especially if the memory functions were used often as I believe only forward/backward and recline are saved by the memory. Try the seat memory buttons and see if it moves at all to rule out the switch on the seat. But I'd agree, there's too many possibilities so figure about $100 to get a decent seat from a junkyard.

Ya, unfortunately the car is at the Stealership so I can't test anything. Next time I go to see it, I'll give'r a shot. Thanks for the replies though.

Could even be the switches. My '98 has a couple of switches that you have to really shove hard to get the seat to go that direction.
