I took the cd player out of my old car and put it in my 2001 aurora (without wiring harness) the only problem is there is only sound and power but no display is on the radio so I was wondering maybe it's a fuse so which fuse controls the display on the radio.

If only the display on the radio isn't working I would suspect the radio itself.

Maybe it needs the illumination wire connected? One of the wires in the factory connector controls dimming of the factory radio's illumination, maybe without that your radio doesn't light up. Just guessing.
Like the previous post, what radio?

Why would you not use the adapter harness, it's $5? Where else did you get the connections other than form the dock n lock connector?
