I think Randy T. tried recently and said he could not get it to work. They look very similar though.

Sall I installed the modded handle last night and it works perfectly!!! Wrapping them handles its some nerve wreaking stuff. Gotta heat just right to form the shapes... But yes to confirm.... It works perfectly on my car....
Pull apart both handles completely.....
Take all hardware from the front handle and install to the rear handle..
My drivers handle broke once,so I had to put a screw on the part that catches the metal lever to open the door. IMO it couldn't have worked out any better... Haha

Nice! Good work. I will keep that in mind. The early model handles are a little more stout than the later year Classic's. I have done a similar fix on my DD '98 though. It is the same body color as my '96. So if I ever need to I could swap the rear handles from it.

Ok.. So I attempted to wrap my engine cover in dark brushed aluminum. Its a little bit thicker than the CF.
When I went to heat it up to get it in the grooves it started to raise like there was air trapped. I will attempt dif techniques soon.
Just trying to keep y'all updated on my wrapping progress, but also to share my experiences for others who may want to play with vinyl on little thing's!!!

Well, I didn't see this vinyl lasting threw very many salty winter's.... So I just ripped it off before I got any deeper...
What should I do with this thread? Delete? Rename? Leave be? Continue on in here with my new plan? I have changed my mind so many times on this thing that is beginning to be quite humorous (or annoying).
This is my new plan to execute... Man I hope I don't get bashed for this one...
Originally I went with the wrap idea because its a cheaper and easier route for me for the time being. I DID NOT want to spray bomb my poor car. Unfortunately I found myself doing it. I know good result's can be had threw rattle can's to a extent,so I gave it a thought. Did some "pearl white spray paint" searches for sometime now... Well I came across a company called "Alsa" that produces white pearl in a can! It was pretty damn expensive for one can. But I gave it a shot. Its nice, but for the price.... I think not. So I came across a company(forgot the name of top) but their rattle can's are labeled under "Kustom Canz" its polyurethane I believe! They have Candy,pearl,metallic...basically w WIDE variety of colors shades and finishes. Well I went ahead and ordered a "Snow white" that was under their "base pearl's" and their "gold pearl"....received them today so I went ahead and sprayed my spoiler and trunk lid.
I did the following in each step.
1.) Rustoleum(Lt. Gray)
2.) Rustoleum(gloss white)
3.) Kustom Canz(snow white pearl) *2 light coat's*
4.) Kustom Canz(gold pearl) *4 light coat's*
5.) U-Pol( high gloss clear) *3 light coats followed by 2 heavier coat's*
The result's to me....amazing coming from a can!!!! I have enough to do a fender and hopefully a door. This to me is success considering the cans are not exactly cheap by normal rattle can standard's. I tried the gold over a black base....and I must say,it was so hard to not do that color. Black in the shade but gold in the sun...it is amazing! Went ahead and decided to stay with what I wanted in the first place.....pearl white!! It is like a metallic white in the shade, silver and or gold depending on the angle and light direction. I wish I could have had it dry enough to get photo's in the sun. Under a standard shop light its very very surprising!!! ..
With this said....I am sticking with this no if ands or buts!! Of course with rattle cans there's some orange peel. Not a big deal... Rubbing compound's and hand glaze will handle all that. I have up loaded a few close ups to my Instagram to share. Let me assure you.... Picture's do NOT do them any justice!!!!
Thank you for following and I'm sorry if you were wanting to see the results of the wrap. I don't see it lasting, therefore I see no point in wasting my time!!!!

This is a build thread, they charge often! That's the nature of a custom build! I can rename the thread to whatever you want and put an explanation in the first post. Just let me know what you would like it to say. Lance (lanceslambos) redid his paint from a can in bright white and it doesn't look bad (considering the alternative) but it sounds like you're doing it right! I'll check instagram for the progress. Thank you James... But I'm not sure at the moment so I'd rather just leave it until I get further!!.... The sun's shining to bright even for my own eyes on this white let alone trying to get full shots with my phone.. Haha
Well glad I'm not the only one who spray bombed a Aurora....I feel like it isn't right for these car's... But I have confidence as I'm not new to rattle cans!

Why not buy a paint gun and a couple gallons of base, clear and thinner at this point? Rattle cans will likely cost more in the long run and paint gun will yield better results.

If I had a compressor that could handle them I would have! I have tried to go this route since the beginning. Sadly enough I just can't afford the "right" air compressor right now! I seriously wish I could.
Just like a welder and plasma cutter. I would sell my soul for those tools right now.... Lol not really.!!!seriously tho if I could I definitely would!!some day.....some day
Thank you for the input tho Sall!!

Understandable. There is also a rattle can type thing that can be filled with compressed air to propell your custom mixture of paint you thin out.

Reason being, read some Post's that I kinda feel was towards my Build's... Therefore I'm just done sharing on this forum!
Thanks!

Which posts were directed towards your builds? I didn't notice anything deriding your projects. I think its kinda cool to be honest and hope you reconsider and keep posting!

Did you say that was a charger spoiler? That was the one I was tempted to try on on my last Aurora. You really have to have one that goes with the contour of the car and it looks like it does pretty well!

Reason being, read some Post's that I kinda feel was towards my Build's... Therefore I'm just done sharing on this forum! Thanks! We typically don't delete threads here unless it's for a good reason. If anything we let them die out and get buried, but the information will still be there. Cursed, I know the thread you're talking about and I am positive that the comment wasn't directed at you. I say the same thing about my car to Lance and he has a spoiler and body kit on his Aurora. It's all in fun, not malicious intent. We don't allow bashing on this forum, and if we believed that it was such the post would have been modified or deleted and the author notified. We very rarely have to do things like that; this is a pretty great forum in that regard. Everyone is generally respectful around here. I personally would never put a spoiler or body kit on my car; it's not my style. That doesn't mean that I can't appreciate your car's modifications for what they are and enjoy seeing updates. It's what you want, and that's what matters. Your style doesn't appeal to everyone, as I'm sure you know, but that's no reason not to share and keep doing it. It's your car and you can do what you want with it. I can't say for certain that no one has ever done a custom body kit on an Aurora, but this is the first one that I have seen. You're definitely in a league of very few if you're not in a league of your own. Keep the updates coming man!

Did you say that was a charger spoiler? That was the one I was tempted to try on on my last Aurora. You really have to have one that goes with the contour of the car and it looks like it does pretty well! Yes that is a 2011-2014 dodge charger spoiler! NOT a 2007-2010! IMO the older one is too tall and too flat for the classic! For years I've been in search for a spoiler! I've had a 1992 Buick Lesabre and went with the sporty look... Spoiler, exhaust custom jean denim fabric interior.. My point is, like the Aurora's the Buick had NO AFTERMARKET OPTIONS. Therefore I was forced to look at other factory make and model part's. I had a Ford Probe that I scraped. Pulled all the parts I thought could be used later down the line. Well I used that spoiler on that and it was the most curved it found (until the charger one).. To shorten this out... A Ford Probe spoiler was my only option I seen to fit ok enough... Of course I would have just set it on and observed... Anyways, the only default I have with this spoiler is the end's.. They are more straight out as the rear quarter's curve. I've thought about taking a heat gun to it and trying to re shape it down a tad since it's plastic. I'm just not brave enough yet (scared to warp it) On another note...I have seriously thought about trying out the SRT spoiler sin e it curves more. I assume the mounting holes are the same. I am just too knee deep in other parts of the car that I don't wanna spend more time on it just yet! Also, James I appreciate the time you took to type all of that. I apologize to everyone for even reacting the way I did! I followed this forum for year's and have always seen it as being a well mannered forum versus other's that are just out of hand. If you have ever read some car audio forum's, their NOTHING like this one. Now that I have found a way to post picture's rather than leave the reader's to visualize in their head I feel more at ease! Tho the body kit thing is not exactly what I want, it is a start and working with the tool's I'm given so to speak. Again I apologize to everyone and I greatly appreciate the support and the positive feed back. Makes me feel welcomed!!!
