I have a brand new stereo to put in my aurora but I've talked to a few guys I know and they told me it's going to be costly since I have onstar and the stock bose amplified system. Is there anyway to bypass that to were it's not as costly so I can plug n play my stereo?

Do you use onstar or care about the chimes? There is a harness to retain and it is not too expensive. Otherwise it is a simple $5 harness. As for Bose I don't know of anyone having issues there. Just need to make sure you get the amplifier turned on by the HU by swapping a wire/pin on the harness. YMMV usually you want to send a low level signal to the Bose inputs not an amplified signal. Some headunits have the ability to turn the internal amplifier off though.

Now if I but the cheap harness will it be compatible with the bose system because I like the way the stock system sound it's crisp and clear with a lil bass behind it
