Hey everyone,
I recently got a couple Thrush Turbo mufflers installed on my 2001 3.5L. I love the sound but they're not quite as loud as I hoped. I went back to the shop and asked if they could replace my resonator with just a straight pipe and they said they could do it for a total cost of $100, but that they don't know for sure how much louder it would be. I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to how much louder it would actually be with the resonator gone, and if it would even be worth it for $100. I would be pretty bummed if I started it up for the first time and I could barely hear any difference.
Thanks in advance for your insight!

$100 for two welds and 3 feet of pipe sounds expensive to me, but it may just make an awful drone and not increase over all db too much.

Yeah, on the 3.5, that sounds a little spendy for a possible crappy tone. Save your money for the 4.0

Thanks for the responses sall and plato. Yeah it sounds like it's probably not worth it then. I'll just keep dreaming about that 4.0 sound!
