Ok everyone I am new to this forum but I have owned a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora for 3 years now it has the 3.5 motor it hasnt been to bad of a car alot of stupid little things needed replaced other than that it runs good. Anyway I just bought a second Aurora last night it also is a 2001 same color as mine (pearl white) only difference is that it doesnt have a sun roof or the bose speaker system, only reason I am guessing this is because on mine where you see the tape player it say "BOSE". I also noticed mine has the gold Aurora symbol and the one I bought has the silver. Long story short from what I explained what is the difference between the 2 cars? Besides same motor, same color but some differences. Only reason I ask is because this one needs the motor looked over and if its run-able I will drive this one since it is really good shape and better looking inside and out than my original Aurora.
Thanks in advance!

hello both car is 3.5? the way you know you have bose if you have speaker in rear doors. most 3.5l didnt had traction/stability control as standard option. The badging color its just the package type .. The gold badge is just called gold package. Most parts are same for 3.5 and 4.0 except the engine and trans. .

Alright just was curious between the two I see there is no speakers in the doors so I see what you are saying, found out the one I bought has a junk motor it runs but has a terrible knock to it... not even worth messing with so my next question is how hard is it to pull these motors? I would like to put my good motor in this car I just bought since it is in really good shape. If you haven't heard anyone doing it have you heard a price on what it would cost for someone to do it?
Thanks in advance!

Oh alright that might be more of a do it your self thing for that price haha, do you know where I could find a file to see steps to pulling that motor?
