Finding Transmission and Engine Mounts

Hello!

We need some help with our 95 aurora. It has the jerking motor that occurs when you shift from Park to R to D, and did the power braking that showed it violently rocking back and forth. After some investigation we have found out that a lot of our transmission mounts are toast. However, we are having a really hard time finding the parts. Can you help refer us to the correct parts or a good place to look? We can get rear trans-axle (transmission) mounts but can't find any front ones. I have seen that some of the parts have changed numbers and you have to get a more "hybrid part". However, we are not car people (my first car) and are kind of lost at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 'front' transmission mount is the same as a 95-98 Buick Riviera. Why they do not list it for the 95-98 Aurora, I do not know!

You can buy the whole 'rear' transmission mount including the cast portion aftermarket and from the dealer last time I checked. Otherwise you can just replace the insert. The insert is available at local parts stores and rockauto.

The torque axis mount is no longer available. You must rebuild this yourself or find a good/better one in a salvage yard. Here is my write-up:

The 'driver side' hydraulic mount is probably not bad but I don't know if it available or not. Probably somewhere. However, mine is good and did not worry about it. I have replaced all of these at once and I can tell you without a doubt it makes a world of difference. If they fail again I will make some polyurethane inserts. HTH.

P.S. Anyone else reading this.... your mounts are likely shot if you have over 100k or there about! Not to mention old compound.
