My remote hadn't been working right, so of course I changed the battery. Which had no effect.
Now, it's getting worse. Sometimes I have to be right on top of the car for the double tap to work. I used to be able to open the trunk from almost any distance, as long as I was line-of-sight. Now, I need to be nearly as close as I do for the doors.
As it's acting the same regardless of which fob I use, it is possible the receiver is dying? How diffivult is it to replace?

Ebay usually saves me money on that type of thing.
I wish I knew of a sensor to test your output so to speak.

...it is possible the receiver is dying? How diffivult is it to replace? Guess it's possible. Shouldn't be difficult to replace at all. IIRC, mounted high, slightly left center on the rear seat back frame in the trunk. Don't forget to match FCC ID...

I had a similar thing happen to both my remotes and both had a loose connection at the battery connector.
