Well, a customer of mine dyno'd his 97 Deville. Picked up 45 HP at the wheels and 40 ft. lbs of torque. I figure I have fairly accurate numbers with drivetrain losses and the result is 57 HP increase at the flywheel and 45 ft. lbs. If the same numbers transferred over to a 4.0, we'd be in/around 40 additional horsepower at the crank.
In about a month I will get my uncle's tuned Autobahn Aurora (Green 1997 model) on a chassis dyno and get the real numbers.
LancesLambos on here has ordered a tuned PCM for his 98 Aurora (non autobahn) so we will see what his input is on the performance.
I still believe there's a lot of these awesome cars out there on the road. This is also the reason why I invested so much into getting this tuning stuff all complete and in my shop. I still wish I had a chassis dyno on-site.
BTW: I have dyno sheets on the 275 HP/VIN Y motor tune. If I didn't, I wouldn't have posted numbers. I was amazed at the gains and how much GM de-tuned these from the factory.

Not yet- but it will be soon. I hired a company to crack the PCMs and write software for me that allows me to tune them - and they're working on the 2000-2005 Northstars and the 2001-2003 Aurora. The 3.5 V6's I can tune in the Auroras and Intrigues. I used a 2000 Intrigue for testing, I assume the Aurora being a bit of a heavier car might be just a touch slower. Here's a video on the testing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHwcINCmNuwI pulled off a 0-60 time of 7.02 seconds and a 9.95 1/8th mile according to an Ultragage - this isn't bad IMO for a 3.5 on a very cold day. Didn't get a chance to try the 1/4 mile or dyno it though.

Plan is to wring out everything this old stock 4.0 will give me then swap in a studded VIN 9 4.6. Don't know if I'll want (or need) a tune, but good to know there's still guys out there to go to...

Tigger you have an idea there that should work. Although I hope to have a solution very shortly for the newer motors. I am committed. Thanks Lance, I know how you feel- I spend a lot of time at work too because all of this excites me. V8's are fun, especially a 32 valve one

I have a 2002 Aurora 3.5. I was just watching your video of the tuned Intrigue. Very impressive! How much for the tune?

So with the tune, what was the DeVille WHP? Do you have the Dyno sheet that you can post? Thanks

I'd be interested in seeing what the 2G brings with my 4.6! I got it tunes from Ion, but again not sure what all his tune gained
