So for those of you that have seen my car for sale recently, I decided to keep it for a little while longer b.c I have a good place I can store it at (friends oversized business parking lot) What a perk!
So as I posted in my for sale ad, I had transmission trouble. It actually ended up being solenoids and not the whole transmission, thankfully. The transmission shop, took my tranny out and replaced the solenoids with the updated version (metal ends instead of plastic) and while it was out, replaced my two-piece rear main seal that was leaking, with an updated one piece. They did a great job and only charged me $250! no more check engine light and it runs smooth and shifts great. Now the other great thing about the transmission fix was I had purchased the Northstar Performance solid motor mount much earlier intending to install it on my own, but never did. Well they put it in for me while the tranny was being placed back in.
Plain and simple, I must say the mount is badass! I was nervous about additional vibration/shaking etc....but it's a SOLID feel! My car launches WAAAAAAY better. Off the line, the tires spin and it just goes. There is no rock back like before. Even my 55-60mph launch, there is no longer any hesitation, it literally just rockets off and GOES! So this is an absolute recommendation guys. I recommend getting this part if you need to replace the factory one for any reason, whether age or b.c you want the solid feel. I would never go back to the factory one. It's around $90. I rather just spend an extra $100 bucks and get the Northstar Performance one and have it last forever.
