So my wife was rolling down the windows in her 98 Aurora to let the car cool down. Got home and went to roll up the windows and 3 out of 4 windows came back up. Rear passenger window stuck down and won't go up or down with the switch at the master control or in the passenger door.
Starting with easiest solutions, what do you suggest? Noticed that the car has gotten really dusty this summer on our dirt road. Could that be the culprit? How do I pull the switch so I can test it with the left rear door switch?
Thanks.

Window regulator most likely. Very common.
Can you manually pull/push the glass back into place?

My passenger rear window has had a similar problem. I took off the door panel, cleaned the switch and it worked.
Someplace on here there were instructions. On the cell I can't find them.

I've never had a car get this dusty inside so dirty switches were our first thought. I'll search for instructions. Thanks!

Door panel is easy to take off. Phillips screw behind a small plastic plate behind the door handle then remove the cover behind the handle. After that there are two 7mm screws at the bottom of the door. After those are off slide the panel straight up towards the sky (hold from bottom) then lift off towards you (this disengages the two hooks at the bottom of the panel so you can lift off). Switch is easy to pop out from there. Shoot it with some contact cleaner and blow out with compressed air. I'd be willing to guess though that it is most likely the motor or the regulator since neither switch is working. That or wiring to the door.
On a side note I HAVE had the electrical connector slip out of my drivers side rear window motor so here's to hoping that maybe the same thing happened to you! I couldn't explain to you how the heck it happened but it did. Opened up the door and reconnected and has worked perfect since (5 years so far).
Good luck!
