I've been shopping for new parts to go on the new motor I have coming. This is for stuff like; pcv, egr, plugs, belts, coils, hoses, sensors... Basically parts that will either come off of my motor now with 137,xxx miles or get brand new. It's been a few years since I've looked at these things and I don't remember this "Professional series" of Ac Delco parts. The coils for instance - the Professional grade costs $45 each on Amazon vs the regular oem replacement for $30. Apparently they have more winding inside as they weigh more. Technical specs are the same (input, output). They also have gold or brass posts vs aluminum. The same thing comes with the spark plugs, there's a "professional grade" which costs considerably more than the oem replacement. I've decided to go with the professional series coils and Denso TT platinum plugs for the build.

I thought I noted this but apparently not. The Professional grade AC/Delco parts are made in Europe, and the OEM stuff is made in Mexico and China. Wise to splurge.

DO remember to replace the spark plug wires as long as you're in there. That can make or break a build.
I went with NGK Iridium last time around. Should be the last plugs I'll ever need ...

Tough one. Given my experience I would put money on my factory 130,000 water pump for the next year than anything I have ever bought as a replacement.
Everything but a carb. I like my Edelbrocks/Carters.
If I had a motor out Its a tough choice but as a rule I don't replace what is not broken.
