Hello again everyone,
I recently purchased HIR Wagner bulbs (philips) from rockauto and I want to have my headlights aimed as best as can be in preparation for them. So far i have my headlights aimed level so there is a continuous cut from left to right but here is where i get confused, when i adjust my high beams using the vertical screw I am confused if the screw adjusts both low beam and high beam. I am trying to get my passenger high beam in the same position as my driver side high beam in regards to the low beam. If that is not possible that's fine, I just want to know where my high beams should aim in relation to me low beams roughly. I notice that my high beam on my passenger side is a bit more of a gap from the low beam on the passenger side them those on the driver side. If someone has an images for reference that would be great.

High and low beam lamps are not individually adjustable within the same assembly. Aiming procedure is covered in the owner's manual, Section 6; page 39 (page 294 of the PDF). 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora Owner's Manual

OK I gave the manual a read. I seems to skip a couple of steps with changing the bulb lol. In terms of height of the low beams the projector cutoffs should be in line with each other correct? At first my driver side headlamp was pointed noticeably higher than the passenger side. I have since adjusted the lamp. It is pretty cool seeing low beam cutoff on a road surrounded by trees. Do you have any experience with HIR to 9005/6 conversions? I am worried that the lowbeam might have a glare due to the lack of a defuser on the tip of the bulb. I have looked onto the projector from the bulbs point of view before and i see the cutoff guard in there, is this enough to avoid the glare? I am still amazed that this car had projector housings

To my understanding, isnt it just the low beams that are projector? The high beam being just a scattering housing?

Sorry for the late response, that is correct. I have since moved on to Vosla +30 9012 HIR bulbs for my low beams since i have learned that Wagner HIR bulbs are Philips rejects, noticeable inprovement. I would highly recommend this mod over regular halogen bulbs. I think at the moment i have them aimed reasonably well, not adjusting them in the winter. Hello from Canada btw. I see you are quite knowledgeable with the Aurora:), nice to see. Have you dealt with the EGV value on your Aurora at all?
