Recently acquired a 97 has been parked for about 5 years. Cleared tank and fuel lines of old fuel and added fresh gas but now I'm not getting any fuel through the lines. The car was running fine when parked due to a bad radiator is there a way to test fuel pump ? Filter and lines all the way to the injectors are clear

With a good Batt, you can turn on the ignition. & u should be able to hear the fuel pump cycle (pump gas). If not be sure to check "fuel pump" fuse to see if they are blown.

Sitting 5 years? Check the connector for power and ground before you pull the pump, small creatures love to gnaw on wires, haha! Here's a couple videos on how to change the level sender on a '00+ Bonneville. You have to pull the pump to change the sender, and it's basically the same for our Auroras. Good luck and keep us posted! Hi, little history, I started with a oldsmobiles, ('87 Eighty Eight and a '94 Olds Eighty Eight and an 94 LSS) but eventually got addicted to bonnevilles, however I'd love to own a 2nd gen Aurora. Nice cars for the price. Either way, I own a bonneville now, well I changed the fuel sender today and decided to make an instructional video about it. In case you did not know, basically the same car. Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7cY_IPCVfI
Part 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FST1whbcOk8
Part 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N16YmV9xcw
I hope someone finds this useful. Thanks for this forum in providing the basic instructions, I decided to make a dumb-ed down version for all of us that are not that mechanically inclined or work other jobs for a living. 20 minutes or so but worth your time if your not familiar with the job.

If you need to pull the pump, I did mine to replace the sender (worn contacts, would show fuel level until down to half, at which point it would bounce around randomly on the gauge) and found it easier to remove the back seat to reach the pump. I'm a big guy and could not get, or reach, into the trunk comfortably, and the seat comes out very easily! Wrote it up here.

Update replaced fuel pump and filter new plugs new radiator. New fuel and added seafoam. New battery Car very hard starting when finally starts I get huge cloud of white smoke then clears. Ran it for 20 min then realized fans not coming on temp gage not reading. Pulled fans and bench tested both work. I hate chasing electrical problems. Didn't expect project to be simple but wasn't anticipating so much aggrivation

No temp gauge usually means bad ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor or it's wiring and/or connector. Bad ECT sensor can also cause hard starts, especially in cooler weather. The PCM has no idea how hot or cold the engine is, and can't optimize the fuel/air mix.
The PCM also uses the ECT reading to turn on fans, but realize the threshold is close to 240oF for low speed operation! An efficient cooling system won't see that idling, barring extreme ambient conditions.
Since you know the fans work, you can test on the car. Reinstall them and disconnect the surge tank level sensor (on the bottom of the tank) or turn on the A/C. Either condition should trip the fans (engine running). If no, bad relay(s), fuse(s) wiring, connector.
FWIW, quit using SEAFOAM! You can get lacquer thinner and isopropyl alcohol at the hardware store much cheaper, lol! Seriously though, I hope that was your white smoke issue and not a head gasket...

Almost convinced its going to be head gasket. while trying to crank the radiator is building up pressure.to the point it spews out of the cap
