I am needing to replace my rear shocks and was wanting to know what are the best ones to get without compromising my comfortable ride on it? Im not worried about the price but would like it to be close to factory as much as I can. I still have the original shocks on it, they are starting to leak now. So does anyone like theirs that they replaced with? Should I just get the AC delco from rockauto? SO I was wondering which ones from Rockauto of the AC delco original oem Shocks I should order, thanks in advanced!!!

Same shock, #504-146 is driver's side, #504-147 is passenger's side, IIRC.
FWIW, the Monroe MA822 offer near OEM ride quality, and are MUCH less costly. Look into KYBs for a "sportier" feel...

I went with Monroe, no noticeable difference in ride.

I went KYB all all four corners of let me just say that the right is stiff. The bumps are harsh in the front but don't feel too bad in the back. I also modified my ELC so the back could write a little higher since it seem like it was sagging. I went with the loaded KYB struts in the front. I repeat, the ride is pretty harsh for my taste. I might do either Monroe or ACDelco for my other Aurora

Thanks for the info Tigg. Yeah, I dont want a more sportier ride, I have the 01' Aurora and the CTS for that! Those vehicles are a firm ride but a nice ride if that makes sense? The 99' is my comfort ride that still has bounce to her and more floaty like as she is only my summer and show car, so more less a garage queen in my stable along with her other Olds fam! So I will probably go with the Ac delco ones then. The price isnt a issue, just want her to be the same old ride that I have always loved about her lol.

I am trying to keep her as much oem as possible, Thanks for the info! My 2nd gen seems to be sagging as well, but I need to get the elc serviced someday in the near future!

I went with Monroe, no noticeable difference in ride. How long have you had them on for Rob?
