Alright guys, I'm at a loss.
Simple story: I/p2 fuse (10 amp) keeps blowing out. This fuse is in the box under the seat closest to the battery. While the car is off i attempted to replace the fuse (2nd time) and it blew in my hand while the car was off.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like it's time to check for broken wires. I don't have a wiring schematic handy, but common breakpoints in this car are in the boots in the door jambs and under the front driver's seat. I'm not sure if the wires in the door run through the I/P fuses. I guess a good way to see where to look is to look for what stops working when the fuse blows and then investigate from there. If it's the radio, that's a good place to look. Do you have an aftermarket stereo, or if no aftermarket stereo, a problem with the tape deck? You could try unplugging the harness for the radio and see if the fuse still blows.
Just throwing suggestions out.

Everything is original on the car (except wheel bearings, brakes, fuel pump) nothing electrical or visual has been modified. Your suggestion points me exactly where i believe the issue is. Drive door jamb. Had to re-attach the ground for the window motor. I'll look there first. Thanks for the quick reply.

I managed to fix it during my lunch break. Turns out i had a wire from the Cd changer that was shorting out in the trunk. Looks like previous owner fooled around in there. Don't know why, the car only had 67,000kms when I bought it 15 years ago. Glad it was minor. Seeing as my aurora is my first car and i plan on keeping it until my dying day.
Regardless, the matter is resolved. Thanks for reading.
