My blower motor started to do some funky things at first where it would slow down on idle and speed up (to normal) when i accelerate.
Then it would only work on auto, but properly.
Then that only worked sometimes and now not at all.
The motor itself is fine when i put 12v to it. I get 12v to the resistor, but only 1.8v out of it, no matter what i set the fan to.
I'm assuming that swapping that out should fix my problem, right? But i noticed that the connections to the resistor are fairly loose - meaning that they wiggle slightly even though they're supposedly tightly in there.
Could that have killed the resistor? I would like to eliminate any potential problems while I'm in there anyway.

Didn't see where you are located but I was going to buy at the junkyard a blower motor but they wanted 30 bucks so I declined cause it was just a spare part for me.
Yours sounds like bad connection?

I did some work on it yesterday, went to the scrap yard and picked up a blower motor, resistor and some pristine (compared to mine) looking connectors.
I swapped out the resistor and the connectors. Cleaned all the connections and put dielectric grease on them and everything works again.
Upon closer inspection of the old connectors going into the resistors i noticed that the single prong (red wire) had melted the plastic on the female end a bit. I suspect that that was the problem.
Going by what i read on this forum and elsewhere this might be due to corroded connections, hence why i cleaned and greased them.
I should have done more reading on here before posting. This place is an amazing resource!

Glad you got it taken care of and thank you for posting the solution!! Too many times I've googled problems, found threads and ended up nowhere when no solution was ever posted.
