Hi, Long story short - we had a car but it got written off by our insurance company because some ******* spilled sulphuric acid on the highway and it ate our car from the bottom up. So we we are bringing our 2002 Aurora back to life! It's a V8 4.0L with the stock Bose head unit. - Seeking: Head Unit + Backup Camera - Budget: $650 CAD ($500 USD) (+/-). Is this budget reasonable? - Goal1: Backup Camera (with night illumination and guide lines on screen) - Goal2: Apple CarPlay (via blue tooth would be nice, but one is fine) - Goal3: Decent looking in dash (wife approved) For wiring - Is this Axxess GMOS-09 what I need? I see it retains OnStar if I ever want to use that. Would it make my steering wheel buttons work too? What else do I need apart from the deck (like antenna adapter) since the stock deck appears to slide right into the plugs in the car? What deck's are recommended for the Aurora? Would a Sony XAV-AX100 6.4 do the trick?

Wow! nice head unit (SONY). That stereo would be nice and flush (wife approved). But as far for steering wheel controls, you will need a separate module and a antenna adapter. Don't forget a stereo mount kit if necessary. Check this site for what is needed or reference, It's simple. pac-audio.com/
