So I have my 97's control module out but plugged into the dash still but not the blower motor which is also out. Probing the wires:
The red wire going to it has 12v of power regardless of where I have my dash dial set to. The purple wire coming out generally has 1.5 volts.
Coincidentally there is what I guess is a resistor labeled S141042 Mexico 9646 on the module and it shows 1.5 volts also when I test the bolts coming iut of it.
The thick black wire to the resistor shows its grounded, 2.0 ohms of resistance to bolt under the glovebox.
The thinner black and grey wire has 8.4 volts no matter where I have my dial set. For this one I decided to turn on the car and it jumped to 10 volts. Again it didn't seem to make a difference where I had the dial on the dash set to.
My blower itself works great plugged up to fused battery power.
How do I prove to myself the module is bad, not something in the dash, or is this just the time to replace it?
Thanks for reading all that.
