Yesterday I got the wiring harness assembled and tested. Had some trouble with the amplifier not turning on. This is the Blue/White wire from the GMOS-09. I figured it out though. The GMOS-09 has labels on the vehicle harness that says to cut certain wires for certain years but alas -- I cut the wrong one.
It says "Model years 2002-2005 cut and isolate wire". Thinking I had a 2002 I cut this wire. It was the *wrong one* to cut. Anyway long story short I moved the connector from A6 which I did not cut (but should have) into the A3 slot on the connector and then a monsoon of celebrations and high-fiving ensued.
A3 is the one right next to the two bridged pink wires (A1 and A2). By the way - these are your steering wheel data wires in case you have a Axxess ASWC-1 and have no idea where to connect the pink wire from the ASWC-1. Seems obvious now because the colours match but this is the *only* connection that splices back to the car side of the GMOS-09.
Anyway - the moral of this story is not to cut the wrong wire and if you do you can use a very small screw driver to push inside the connector so the pin comes out. Don't push it all the way through immediately. Just get the contact portion to the back of the connector and then push it down and then push it through. You can then re-insert this pin into the right one which is (A3 in my case).
I should not have cut A3 but instead cut A6.
