So about a week and a half ago, I bought a 1999 Aurora. Has 119k miles on it. When I bought it, it was VERY hard to start. I replaced the mass airflow sensor, which helped considerably, but it's still slightly hard to start. To start the car, I have to depress the gas pedal about 1/2 way, and the car of course when it starts revs right up to about 3k, and then it settles down to normal idle. I cannot start the car without depressing the gas pedal. What could be causing this? The car runs and drives great otherwise.

It's on the side of the throttle body...
Google "Northstar TB/IAC Cleaning".

Thanks Tigger! Ended up fixing it. Now I just have a ignition switch to do.
