So on my 1999 Aurora, I have this almost "studder" that developed. If I am on light throttle, it is acting like it's studdering up to about 43-45 MPH. If I power through on that range on medium to high throttle, it's smooth as silk. Is this something like a throttle position sensor that is going bad, or something else?

When you say 'shuddering', is that as in engine misfire? If so, check your coil packs, plugs and wires.
Any codes?

I will be checking the plugs and wires. To be honest, looking at the wires, I would not be surprised if they were original. The more I think about it, it does seem like a small miss. No CEL's either.

Most likely a slight miss like I've had in the past. Plugs and wires will usually take care of it. 40 mph is around where the TCC will lockup, putting more load on the engine = if you have slight misfires they'll usually show under load.

That's about where it's going on at. Right about 45-47 MPH it starts studdering. I am also partly wondering if I have a coil going bad. I'll be doing the rear plugs and wires tomorrow.

Yep, doesn't necessarily have to be the plugs and wires, that's just what usually takes care of it when I get one. Could be anything that causes a miss; coils, fuel filter, fuel pump, etc etc
