Ok guys went to fire up the car today and and it was shaking worse than ever ( it's always had just a very tiny vibration but i figured it was just the cars engine working ) but it was shaking a lot more than ever I could feel the vibration just sitting there so i opened the hood and the engine was shaking pretty bad so my first guess was motor mount gave out so I had a freind watch it while I revved it up to see if it torqued and he said it just vibrated and so I had him idel it up while I watched and it didn't torque just vibrated but it was the whole motor vibrating
Any ideas or things I could look into ?

Spark plugs, spark plug wires, check your coil packs to start...
You're describing a multiple misfire condition. The 4.0 should run smooth as silk, haha.

Yes it certainly sounds like a misfire condition.

Any check engine light activity? Mine loves throwing codes so I'd have one by now. My MarkVIII doesn't even like reporting when the alternator has failed so I have to plug in and get a "pending" code sometimes.

It's got to be misfiring. The check engine light should be on steadily or flashing.

...do you guys know of a way to check without pulling codes Infrared (IR) thermal scanner would be the easiest way. Just compare the temp reading of the individual tubes of each exhaust manifolds, a cool tube indicates a misfiring cylinder. Or you could, one at a time, pull a plug wire while the engine is running. If the idle/sound doesn't change, it isn't firing. Why not just pull the codes?

Well it dosent have any hard codes I get one every now and then but it goes off shortly after coming on but also its 1995 so it's not ob2 but I looked into it and people were saying its half obd1 half obd2 so you have to have a really special scan tool
