Thought I'd share what I did over the weekend. I took off my cowl b.c I wanted to paint my faded wiper arms. When I took the cowl off I figured it was a good time to clean that up and repair it as well. I fixed the screen under the cowl vent with a heat gun. The screen became undone a little over the years. I was able to melt the plastic bead underneath and press the screen back in. I also let the cowl soak for several days in "303 protectant" and heat gunned it slightly to let it soak into the plastic. It went from faded to brand new! I also needed the little clips that hold the cowl in b.c they are delicate and broke. I glued the metal clips under the cowl edges together leaving no space so it clips to the window molding nice and tight. I sanded the wiper arms and painted them satin black and clear coated them. Came out great. Under the cowl was so much crap from over the years it was great to clean all that gunk out. Side note- I was getting parts from LKQ pull- a- part and it looks like the Pontiac Bonneville-2001' share the same cowl as the Aurora. Not sure if this is the same case with the Grand Prix, but maybe add this too the Aurora car interchangeable list. If anyone ever needs a new cowl or parts from one we aren't confined to hopefully finding a used Aurora!

Yes Windshield that was replaced on my aurora was also for Pontiac Bonneville. That what it was saying on receipt. So i guess some parts are exactly the same.

Yea that's great to know. I even noticed the wiper arms appear the same and the front radiator support arms etc...all the same. Next time I got to LKQ. I'm going to inspect a little further.

Because mines is completely lose and Iām trying to figure how to keep it from moving and I wanna clean it and repaint my wiper arms as well

Well to completely remove the cowl. You need to remove the wiper arms in addition. I used a wipe arm remover tool b.c that bolt that holds the wiper arm down was difficult to remove. Then you can unclog the cowl. Some of my clips broke. You can get em through GM. Also be careful removing the wiper arm fluid hose it's intermingled under it and snakes through the firewall.
