And then, the car needed new rear calipers. They were partially stuck. Figured out it was starting to be an issue last fall when I replaced the pads: screwing the cylinder back in place was very difficult, stuck in corrosion. Driving the car with semi-seized calipers made me go through a set of pads in 6000km on one side, not to mention the intermittent vibrations.
Now gone for good.
I use 2002 Seville calipers, pads, disks (oversize). Works very well, including the parking brake.
But I hate the parking brake pedal. I hate it. Can't use it for anything else than parking. Thinking of installing a custom lever. Will see.
Also, the 2002 Seville calipers come with an electric wear indicator -- basically a wire that gets cut as the pad wears thin. Installed them, not hooked to anything for now. Another project in the works...
