So it's been awhile and old Aurora still going but it's always had a funny idel but nothing else but recently its had a big decrease in power on the low end any thing above 40 mph is fine but trying to take turns or leaving a stop sign it doesn't even want to go but this problem stops every now and then I'll start it and it will run fine I definitely think it's a fuel to air ratio problem because it smells of super strong gas when you get out and stand behind it I'm trying to decide between putting new plugs and wires or a new idel air control motor as well as a new fuel filter I get a code every now and then but when I try to check it it goes away i have already replaced the map sensor but i dont know if spark plugs and wires will fix it and i cant afford both them and an IACM if yall have other ideas I'd greatly appreciate the feedback

Sounds like misfire.
I'd do plugs/wires first, check the coil packs...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think you can scan obd1 you have to use like a paperclip and make the codes flash
And also I dont know how to check coil packs is there a thread about it ?

Well I pulled 4 of the spark plugs and they where covered In oil they left Oil all on the socket after looking it up everyone says it's a bad valve cover gasket or the plug seals and that apparently shows the symptoms I was dealing with so I will be tackling this project in the near future and hopefully that fixes it
