I have a 1998 Aurora 30k miles with NorthStar motor and the special Autobond transmission. (Gold emblem car) It runs fine but after the trans warms up it slips and takes several second's to shift into gear, shifts erratically.(some backstory- The previous owner took it to the shop had a new tourqe converter installed to fix the slip but shop said the valve body looked worn) Everything I read tells me it's the pressure regulator solenoid. I ran codes but nothing comes up at all. Should I just replace the solenoid kit and or is the valve body causing the trouble or something else. I don't have much money but the car came with a parts car, same make model and year the only difference is the parts car has silver emblem and the good one has a gold emblem with the Autobond transmission. Both cars have the Northstar motor. Will transmission parts work from the parts car to the good one (like the valve body of it is in fact worn) or are they completely different. Old folks sold it to me and both cars has only 30k miles on them. I don't see why the shop didn't replace the pressure regulator solenoid when they replaced the tourqe converter thinking that was the problem but the previous owners has money and I'm thinking they were just trying to milk them but idk, I got a very good deal and am just trying to have a working car to get back and forth to work. Please help me or point me to the right thread if this has been posted before. Thank you for reading all my BS LoL
