hi guys back again, if things were good I wouldn't be here but you are all so helpful I can't stay away forever lol My diver door locked me in the car this morning. It is the first real cold day of the winter, was 2 degrees. It unlocked to let me in but then when I put it in drive the doors locked (hate that bs). I got to work and the driver's door didn't unlock to let me back out.
At lunch time I crawled in the passenger side and tried the lock and it unlocked and has worked since. The lock moved about halfway and that's it, not enough to unlock. If anyone has an idea why and if it could be fixed would be great.
I don't care too much if the locks are disabled either it's just a work car mostly anyway so any ideas on how to disable the locks only would be great too. So this doesn't happen again. From what I have seen the door lock fuse under the back seat controls more than the locks. I have not pulled the seat yet only searched here and Google to get info first.

What year Aurora? You might be able to change the feature through the DIC if you have a 2nd generation (not so sure about that though). I would guess this is probably an issue with the cold, lock mechanism might just need some lubrication

It's a 97 Autobahn. Yeah I'm sure it's just the first cold day problems that happen to many vehicles, I borrowed my pickup to a brother the same day and he had worse problems that had never happened too lol. Kinda weird it snapped out of it, it didn't warm up much that day.
When it warms up a little I'll tear it apart and lube it up if I can't just disable the auto lock. I have never been a fan of being locked in my car. I was able to shut it off on my wife's jeep with a touch of a button but thats 20 years newer.
