Hey y'all,
I'm in the process of replacing my AC compressor. I bought the one from a company called four seasons because it was the only one in stock. Paperwork states that it comes prefilled with 3 oz of PAG oil. When I'm replacing the compressor, how much oil should it have? Do I need to add any or do I leave it at that and add some with the refrigerant?
As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated!

According to pg.1-3 of the 2001 FSM, under Refrigerant System Capacities. the compressor takes 2 oz. of the PAG oil.

Hey, I just found some literature stating that the 2nd gen Aurora should be filled with 9 oz of PAG oil. 🤔🤔🤔

That's probably the overall capacity of the system, unless it specified the compressor. Remember accumulator, evaporator, condenser will all have oil, even the lines.

The 2001 FSM says 9 oz. for the entire system.
