I recently had to replace the oil pressure sensor in my 2001 4.0 because it broke in half as can be seen in the pic below. The oil pressure sensor is right above the forward motor mount. But the motor mount didn't show any signs of anything hitting it. And there was no indication of anything hitting the plastic part of the sensor.......no cracks, no scrapes, no marks. How could this have happened?

If mount was changed before than this possible it was broken sometimes other things shops cant change and accidently brake it. And age of it possible issue as well.

The mount was never changed.

Have you checked to see if the amount has any play? You could use a pry bar or you can have someone sit in the car and shift between reverse and drive. You can also power brake and drive to see if the motor will move.

We already did that. The engine didn't move at all.
