I know I'm not crazy but I remember that Bilstein made a strut for the second gen Aurora. I confirmed this by seeing an aurora in the salvage yards with Bilstein struts but I couldn't see part numbers on them. Anyone know the part numbers for Bilstein or a website that might Carry them. I've been busting my fingers trying to find them all over the interwebs LOL
I want something of decent quality. I will say that KYB is straight trash and I'll never buy their products again. Delco and Monroe are all fine and good but I want a little better than stock.
As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated! 😊

Hey AmunRoo, I'm not going to say you're crazy, (but I'm not gonna' say you're not either. 🤔) Just kiddin'! I just turned 22,000 over on my Final 500 Aurora. I took the wheel off this morning and was able to locate a tag on my LH strut. It is 22166958. Not seeing anything on that number when using Google, but your local GM stealer can probably do a cross reference on that number. To me, it does not appear to be a Bilstein strut as there is no yellow or blue on the strut. Now, for what it's worth, my Final 500 Bravada did have Bilstein struts all around and I did replace them with Bilstein shocks and struts. Rides a little too firm IMO. From here on out, I think I will lean toward the GM Original Equipment (RockAuto usually offers them). Not sure if the RH strut has the same number or not. Too lazy to go through all that work. I've tried searching for all these platforms, but i'm only getting the same results. I've tried KYB and they are just garbage struts. I even tried to contact them directly and they basically just blew me off. I want something better than stock but unfortunately, it seems i'm going to have to get AC Delco...

If you want nicest riding i would look at a cadd or park avenue late year FE1 (Soft ride) Then the strut mount is also different depending on ride, same as rear shock mounts, and then sway bar you prob have the better OEM ones at least in front(I hear lucerne rear would be better) Then the lucerne craddle (for the mounts which are superior) The control arms then too since improved. But if you mean ac delco the ones that arent 300 a strut absorber each kinda ac delco, youll hate those btw but they exist yes

ACDelco offers 3 different levels of parts
ADVANTAGE ~ made by other companies for them like Gabriel, etc. (if you wanted to call something garbage, this would be right in that category IMO) PROFESSIONAL ~ Good Quality parts ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (OEM) ~ This would be the higher end quality of the 3 levels.

Didn't know they did that. Must be fairly recent as many auto parts stores still have it listed as Advantage and Professional.
Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up! np. stock has to run out. you often can find all 5-6 whatever it is depending on the part. The change wasnt that long ago Frankly I just rather AC Delco doesnt put their name on the "silver" and the "gold" be made clear its the normal aftermarket and then "Actual" ac delco being GM parts but they dont take my suggestions
