So I've recently been looking at the idea of ditching the 4T80 on my Aurora. I have the NSP Stage 3 tune as my 'Rora was a non-Authobahn 3.48 final drive. I can work my way around an engine all day, transmissions are another thing. I have the ability to get my hands on a 6T80 and was wondering the leaps and hurdles it would take to make this Frankenstein's Monster come to life. My main issue is that I am pushing at or above 6K RPMs once I crawl into the 135-140 range which makes me extra nervous. I feel she deserves another gear and could benefit from it. I did some snooping and saw manual swap talks, that's simply out of the question as I need to stay within the realm of my daily commute which is heavy traffic. Has anyone else accomplished this feat? I suspect the largest factor would be making it behave with the onboard systems plus the NSP tune. you need to find a transmission which can mate to a northstar pattern or be adapted. youre looking at custom work. the 6t80 gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-transmissions/mhm/spprecision.com/products/4t80e-transmission-sale.htmlCant post a picture without first saving to my computer, so I said screw it, but here is the two trans. you will run into a lot of issues being you need a TCM, a PCM programming, a lot of custom work, idek whats going on with the 6t80 lacking a differential it seems., etc

Wow! a 6 Speed🤔. Didn't know they came with that option, would be interesting to see that in action. But no Paddle Shifting. Good find Thanks...

He probably changed his mind about it. It sounds like a really, really difficult mod.
