The case continues but I have seen a little bit of light at the end of this tunnel. Nothing worked on the passenger front door when we got it. After chasing down as much information as I could get from the connectors and switches, I figured it was likely a module. So I got one from the local yard and now stuff is starting to work. I have sound and can move the mirror and it rolled the window down. But when I tried closing the window it didn't budge. I did get a click from the module though. So I pulled the motor and bench tested it after taking the armature out and looking for broken connections. On the bench it works up and down. I put it back in the car, it doesn't work. So I tested the connector again and I get positive and negative voltage like I should. Pulled it back off, connected, it works off the car hooked up to the window switch. Put it back on, won't work. Pulled it off, moved the window by hand, no binding, easy movement. So I pulled the motor apart again and took a picture this time. I saw the armature damage before but it was working so I figured it should on the car. It must be damaged enough that there isn't enough torque to push the window back up.

I could have sworn I had one out of a LeSabre that had a bad regulator but since I can't find it, I ordered one. The next thing on the list is the door lock. I don't want to take it out to test it, so I'm going back into the harness to look for problems there first.
What else is left? Oh, the interior lights are still an issue. I saw some videos that show a jumper block that all the module data lines go to but I haven't found where it is on this car yet. I can check the data voltage there and troubleshoot that way to see if another module is acting up.

door locks can make your lights act up as well. But since door module died i think someone was massing with the car a lot before you. Honestly I never had issues with door modules on any olds I had or my friends that about 10 cars includes auroras and Intrigues and silhouette and on this forum its not a common issue. Sucks that you got that lucky . But hope you find the issues soon and fix them.

Well the weird things get weirder. I replaced the motor and the window still wouldn't roll up. So I unbolted the motor and checked it, it's working fine. I pulled the window up all the way by hand, put the motor back in and it's rolling up and down now. Hm. Ok. So I plugged the door lock harnesses in and put the door back together. Now the lock is working normally when it wouldn't previously.
To say this is confusing would be an understatement. If I could get my VCX Nano working again it would help but that's another project.
