I'm so sick of GM's 1990s crappy paint delaminating from the primer, and my beautiful 1997 Aurora has a couple of small spots about to peel off. What shade of white paint comes closest to White Diamond Metallic that I could use as a temporary one-stage, touch-up that would cover up the green primer underneath for these silver-dollar-sized spots and look OK from 10 feet away. Any thoughts, dear fellow Aurora lovers?

I found a 2-stage rattle-can version, on eBay. You might more properly call it "3-stage," given that it needs to be clear-coated. They also sold me a 1-stage touch-up (something like a 1/2 oz. bottle), which I have not tried (it looks a bit like nail-polish and has a brush applicator).
I don't know that either would fit your requirements all that well. I like the rattle-cans. The touch-up might be satisfactory, but you would run out very quickly, I assume.
I absolutely feel your pain.
I'm not sure I have heard if the "real problem" is actually the paint or the primer. It doesn't help much, to hear that a lot of the OEM's had trouble, when they switched from oil-based to water-based paint.
