Hey Aurora team!
I have a white Aurora -- but is it Bright White ... or White Diamond Metallic?
I have some paint peeling off that crappy green primer on my front driver's fender, and want to touch it up.
So I pulled the spare tire cover from the trunk to get my paint code -- but it came back as U 105D -- Caribe Green.
Just my luck that sometime in my car's past, that tire cover was replaced, as my car is definitely not green.
So I went to Compnine, and ran my VIN, and this came back as my paint colour:
EXTERIOR COLOR,PRIMARY,BRIGHT WHITE DIAMOND
Maddening, eh? So is it Bright White, or White Diamond Metallic?
Or is it Bright White with a misting of Diamond sparkle coat?
Arghhhhh......
Any thoughts? My paint does sparkle a bit in the sun, so I'm leaning towards the metallic.
Have any of you with white Gen 1 cars sorted this out already?
Thanks for any thoughts, Greg "Dr K" Kennedy

Hi gang, I decided to put down a coat of Bright White as base, and then a layer of the diamond/pearl second stage, then clear coat, and was very pleased with the results. FYI, Greg

Glad to hear it worked out. Sorry I didn't see this before. It is my understanding that bright white would be a plain white while the white diamond would have metallic flake so looks like you did the right thing This is from a 1997 Dealer Brochure I have
